Hi! I'm new to this forum.

Recommended Posts

I just found this forum! I had my lap band surgery on January 30,2013. I've lost about 31 pounds. My surgeon did the 1st fill and then the nurse in the bariatric center will do the rest of the fills. I just had my second fill. The weight loss had really SLOWED down!!! I told her how I was getting hungry after about 2 1/2 to 3 hours after eating. She told me to start eating some greens with my meat. So, I just started adding greens last night. I cooked some cabbage and at that with my meat

I KNOW the doctor said the weight loss would slow down but, I only lost 4 pounds in March. Is this normal? I don't have ANYONE I can talk to. I just don't feel I'm getting as full as I did in the beginning. Am I just being too impatient? Thanks for listending!

a loss is a loss... losing (that amount is good). are you losing inches? are your clothes too big? are you feeling better?...just because the scale is not moving as fast as you would like it to, does not mean you are not doing well. 31 pounds is gone. that is a small child....that is my Doberman's head for heavens sake. take it and keep going...and if you are impatient, you will not be happy in the future as sometimes the scale doesn't move for whatever reasons..let the band work..there is no time limit to lose weight before band explodes. I am proud of you.

Thanks for the encouragement, CarolinaGirl! My clothes have gotten looser. I'll try to be more patient!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
