Day 3 out of surgery, does anybody else have trouble burping. I can't seem to. I've used gas x and it helps a lot. I can't believe I'm saying this but I would love to burp. What a dumb issue to have.

The day of and after surgery people would kill to fart. Days two and three and maybe a little longer and you want to burp. ;o)

It's the stoma swelling, we all go through it.

Welcome newbie!!!

I have just started the wheels in motion to have lap band. I live in NE Mesa, and went and met with Dr Chen at Banner Gateway last week, and start my "6 months." I am looking forward to following everyone's progress!

Not that I'm SO FAR ahead of her, but I have to TOTALLY agree!!! I looked at my husband on my second day home and said "I cannot believe I am saying this, but I would almost kill someone for the ability to have a REALLY GOOD fart!" UGH!!! The burping will come SOON.

Congrats! You'll have to join us for monthly lunches we bandsters have.

KittenQutie is going to take over the list. She's better at it than I am! ;o)

If you want to join us just send me your email address (PM) and I'll add you and anyone else that wants to join us. It's not a bad idea to get to know lots of banded folks in real time so when you have a question you can just pick up the phone and call. Especially after surgery you'll have lots of questions.

Welcome Redmtnwolf! I had my surgery done at Banner Gateway too. Great group of doctors and nurses. I had Dr. Schuster and love him. I'm sure you'll be very happy with the whole thing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
