All of my overweight life I never had a 'big' face. In fact, it was probably one of the smallest parts of my body. Last year after finding out I had a thyroid problem I had gained 65 lbs in 5 months. The weight this time went to my face (not all of it of course), it was the first time I had to LOOK at my once small face and see how disfigured it looked. It is still hard for me to see the photos without tearing up, but I wanted to share the difference weight loss has made in the shape of my face, as I continue to keep losing....

funny though because I still see a round face in my pics. Doesn't help when my hubby has a narrow thin face!

You look awesome and are doing a fantastic job, congratulations! I do know what you mean, about faces, the only thing recognizable on mine is my smile. :)

Both pics are beautiful in different ways, none look "disfigured." We go through things in life, ups and down, and so do our bodies. Look at the before pic and instead of tearing up think about how far you have come =)

Congrats, you got this!

I had the same thing happen to me. I gained about 60 lbs in 4 months while they figured our it was my thyroid. I was just banded 2/22 so i hope to see such a great change in myself. You look great and are a great inspiration.

Great job on the weight loss. I had my thyroid removed several years ago & my weight has been a constant battle. I do not wish hypothyroidism on my worst of enemies. I am thankful for my WL surgeon finding that my meds needed to be increased. I feel much better:) Keep up the hard work & you look WONDERFUL!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
