Yes your excess is the top of normal bmi to the weight your are now. I'm mid bmi normal now. I was on the low end. So if you get to a normal bmi you've Lost 100% of "excess weight". Remember key word is "excess".

Good for you Mis! 75% is a huge accomplishment and you must be SO proud of yourself :))

Did you exercise at all or just portion control...

Thank you!

My situation is a bit unique. I have Multiple Sclerosis so I can't do a lot of exercises that most do. When I first started this journey, I walked with a cane and needed a motorized cart just to get around a grocery store. But, I did push myself to walk. First to the end of the block, then down the street, around the corner, etc. Eventually I got further and stopped needing the cane.

Now, I walk 2 miles a day easily without any aid. I also plan on getting a bike this spring. So, while I can't do a lot of exercises others do, I do what I can do because it's so important to move.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
