How soon until you can swallow pills??

Hello, I was banded on Thursday Feb 21st and am currently crushing all the pain meds I am taking. I usually take biotin and three large vitamin capsules for hair loss because I tend to lose a lot of hair with weight loss. The vitamins for my hair taste awful even in the capsule so I am afraid to open them up and try to swallow what's inside. My question is, are most people able to swallow capsules once you have started to eat solid foods? If so, do they ever get stuck?

I have always been able to swallow pills! Please make sure that if you crush pills that you get the okay from your doctor or pharmacist! Some pills are extended release or just not meant to be put into the bloodstream all at once! This can cause an overdose or problems with your liver!

I think you are either going to lose your hair or not. I ate tons of protein and lost mine. Went on several vitamins about month 5-8 and it is growing back now. I still take biotin, calcium, b complex, and a multi. Everyone's body reacts different with regard to hair loss.

I can't swallow anything bigger than a Tylenol and was told not to. No gelcaps or capsules. Btw my doc prescribed me lorcet liquid which post op was wonderful. Chewable vitamins are great.

I was told liquid or chewable. If solid it would have to be TINY. Make sure you are getting your Protein in. This should help with hair loss.

I am finding it hard to get protein in right now because I am on clear fluids only.....any suggestions?

Even on Clear liquids I was allowed Protein shakes. Is this not the case for you??

Do you have Isopure? 1 bottle has 40g protein

Amazon has chewable Biotin.

No, I on only allowed things that I can see my fingers through when holding a glass (is the way they described it). This is for just one more day though and then I can start protein shakes with my full Fluid diet. So I can suffer one more day I suppose?

Interesting...I was allowed protein shakes for my clear liquids and regular liquids. They made it a point to say, oh yeah and protein shakes are okay that way you get some protein in.

Funny you brought that up. Im 10 days out. I think I have one big pill stuck? My capsules go down fine though. I've been taking them all along

I too was allowed protein shakes on all liquid stages.
