  1. I also paid cash so I dont have to go through the doctor supervised diet and schedule the surgery much sooner. Good luck. Areli...glad everything is going good for you.
  2. I told my close friends and colleagues first then I told everyone that ask when they noticed the weight loss.
  3. Doing great here thanks for asking. I had my 3rd appt with surgeon and did not need a fill. How are you guys doing with your journey?
  4. I was too before the surgery but it was the best decision for me. Good luck on your surgery and keep us posted.
  5. I am an OT and I was back at work doing transfers without restrictions after 2 weeks post op. I did not have any problems following the diet post op and while at work. I had my surgery Jan 25, 2013. Good luck on your journey.
  6. Mine was 5 cc on my first fill, then .75 cc on my second and no fill for my 3rd appointment.
  7. Ladies welcome to Bandster Hell!!! I promise it will get better. Good Luck!
  8. If I were you, I will not use the heating pad. Use gas x or walk instead. There is going to be swelling and heat can make the swelling worse.
  9. Not sure...maybe do liquids until you see your surgeon. That is what my surgeons office told me to do.
  10. Think about the end result. Good luck!
  11. No exercise here just house chores. I would say any activity is good
  12. Oh! Positive rants are great LOL
  13. Yay!!! Good job!
  14. Good luck to you and don't forget to include a good amount of protein in your diet too.
  15. The first few weeks after my banding, I was eating (or drinking depending on what diet you're on) every 2-3 hours. So I think that is normal. I had my first fill 6 weeks after the surgery and I feel satisfied for 4 hours. Good luck!
  16. Congrats and goodluck on your journey to a new and healthy you. Walk those gas pain away.

  18. He only put me on a 1 day pre op diet. Good luck.
  19. I had my first fill 6 weeks after surgery. The surgeon put in 5 cc and he said I have a pretty good restriction and I agree since I am satisfied for 4 hours. I had my 2nd fill yesterday and he added 2 cc and I think it was too tight since I was having problem swallowing water. He took out 1.25 cc (he first took .5 cc, then another .5cc and then another .25cc). It's too early to tell if I am on my green zone but I am hoping.
  20. My surgeon didn't put anything in my band til 6 weeks post surgery. Good luck!!!
  21. Thank you ladies. I am actually doing fine with the .75 cc at this time. I now have 5.75 cc in my 10 cc band. That was a little scary to say the least.
  22. So I was scheduled for my 2nd fill today, The surgeon put in 2 cc on my band for a total of 7 cc (5cc on 1st fill). Everything looked good on flouro. I was driving home from this appointment and I decided to drink some water. Oh boy!!! it didnt go down. I feel like the water stayed in my throat. Called the surgeon's office to let them know that I may be too tight. Drove back to the clinic and the surgeon took 1 cc and still too tight. He took another .25 cc and I still feel it's too tight but I decided to give it a try tonight. I will call them for another unfill tomorrow if it is still too tight. What a day!!!
