Having my band removed after 38 days...

Recommended Posts

Today I am having my band removed. I won't get into too much detail but will be posting about all this later. You can follow my story and hear about all the events leading up to this on my website at:

www.TheRealAugustina.com.

Please pray all goes well. I'll be in touch. Much love!

Did you have any vomiting episodes in the first 30 days? Odd your band would slip with erosion so soon?

Never mind. I heard your blog and you did throw up day 2? Not good. That's unfortunate! Could have caused your problem or it could have been a bad placement or poor suturing? Good luck to you.

Yeah true.. to be honesy, the surgeon told me my body just plain rejected the hardware and that I'm that 1-5% of people whose body just doesn't take wel to the band.

I've always said, I'm one in a million.. and not in a good way! lol nahh, but it's time to buckle down and do this the right way!

The 'right way' for me. Clearly, I thought the band was the 'right way', but it wasn't... for me. Please don't be quick to get offended over words, I'm not that type of person. Thanks.

Are you considering the Vertical Sleeve?

My husband was banded 2/19 and had to get it removed 2/22.

His body basically rejected it! He threw up non stop for 16 hours and the band slipped!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
