I've never been able to drink Protein Shakes. I wanted to know what else is there to drink besides Protein Drinks during the liquid diet phase?

Unfortunatly you will need to get your Protein in somehow. They have so many new kinds out now. Ensure makes a good one but its kinda pricey. If you have a costco or sams club check there. I know Enusre also has a new clear one out you may want to try.

But I know what your talkig about. I was at the point with Protein Shakes that I told my husband "if I have to drink one more Im gonna shoot myself..lol"

When you say you've never been able to drink Protein Shakes, what do you mean? Do they make you vomit or do you just not like the taste?

Thanks, I will look into the ensure clear drinks. I always vomit or get really nauseous when I taste or smell anything milky. I've always wanted to try slimfast or muscle milk and I could never stomach the smell or taste. Maybe my Doctor has something else I could try.

Is it possible that you are lactose intolerant? There are Protein powders that are made from whey isolate, like Unjury that are for people that are lactose intolerant. I've tried Unjury with soy milk and haven't had any problems. In fact, I actually like the taste and it feels good on my stomach.

well, my dr told me to stay away from slim fast and i also do not like the milky tasting stuff. that being said, Protein shakes are a superb way to get your Protein in. you will just need to buckle down and find a shake that you like to help with this pre and post op phase. (i use whey extreme from Walmart in chocolate) and it is delicious. i even put in freezer to make my own version

of a wendys slush..

find what works for you as you are the one who has to do this.

I use muscle gain by advocare. It can be made with milk or Water. With water it's 25grams of Protein w/milk 38grams. It's a Lil pricey but def worth it since it keeps me full 6-8hours. Check it out at www.advocare.com/12102403 best of luck in your journey and hope this helps :)

Try Isopure. You can find it at Vitamin Shoppe or online. It mixes clear and they have fruit flavors. Think Gatorade, but its Protein and very low carb (I believe zero carb actually). And they are suppose to be very very good.

I use Body Fortress, you can find it at Walmart as well and it's pretty cheap. I'm so sick of drinking Protein Shakes though I could gag. I'm only 3 days away from starting solids and holy smokes can I not wait. I've begun getting creative and stopped drinking my shakes and have started mixing them in my yogurts and hot cereals just so I don't have to drink them anymore! I can't stand the smell of them anymore either! I'm going to by some Protein Powder for days when I need a Protein boost because I need to give the shakes a time out for awhile.

Syntrax Nectar unflavored Protein powder can be mixed with anything. It has no flavor and I used it in my flavored water. That should help those that don't like milk based drinks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
