Discouraged

Recommended Posts

I'm 9wks post op and down 32lbs but the scale hasn't moved in a week. I have 1.5cc in my band but I'm discouraged that I'm failing.

A week is no time at all, honestly. Plateaus happen and they can last weeks. I've had one that lasted 6 weeks before. I know people who've had them last months.

Just stay within your daily calories, stick to a cup or less of food per meal, exercise, and the weight will come off.

Best wishes.

First things first...32 lbs in 9 weeks? That's incredible! Second, you're not failing. It's probably just time for a band adjustment.

You are doing great... I had a plateau that lasted 3 weeks. Just keep doi g what you are supposed to be doing...track calories, measure portions, drink lots of Water and see your dr regularly and the weight will come off.

Don't forget that SO MANY things affect out scales. Sore muscles from an intense workout, that time of the month, not having a BM,

Don't get discouraged, you are doing things right if you've lost 32 in 9 weeks...could you have boasted that on any previous diet?...stay the course it will come off.

That is over 3 lbs a week that would be 150 lbs in a year.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
