Ok...Day of surgery was 294.6

14 days ago today. 7 days later was at 286.3. Did a huge happy dance 7 lbs lost. Yesterday I weigh and well with Mother Nature monthly visit. Yesterday I weigh 289.3 up three pounds. I know silly right but I am also hungry and 60 to 90 grams of Protein keeps me ok until my HUGE craving for CHOCOLATE! 18 months ago I took the phentermine diet pill and lost 60lbs in about 8 months. Never hungry and ENERGY. Well as you all know you can not be on it forever. When I came off in no time 80lbs came right back. So it was time to fly to Dr. kuri and get banded..I know I will have a Tummy Tuck and boobs lifted. Had 3 boys in 3 years and breastfeed all of them. So yes I have scars and saggy baggy boobs. Now my mother in law has said we all are going to hawii for two 2weeks all expense paid in sep or oct. SCREAM! I want my body back. 9 months. I can not have a Tummy tuck till I lose 70lbs. If I take the pill and get a fill in 4 weeks. Can I 70 lbs in 6 months? The pill will help give me that extra and ENERGY. Any help.

You can lose 70 in six months. Do it with exercise and diet though, not pills. Are you exercising ?? That alone will seriously give you energy and will mentally perk you up as well. That's what will help you lose more weight.

20 to 30 mins on my bike I burn about 240 cal with it. Walk do what crunches I can. I have three boys and run after them cleaning cooking playing ball ect. But when I sit down to take a load off it is like I am out and my kids are ready for round 2.

You should fill out your profile so we can better help you.

As far as pills, that's a bad idea in my opinion. You already know you'll gain the weight right back after stopping the phentermine so why in the world would you want to do that again?

Losing 70 pounds in 6 months depends on how much you have to lose total. It also depends on if you're willing to count calories religiously and exercise. But even then, that's a lot of weight in a little time. The average is 1-2 pounds a month which would be approximately 24-48 pounds in 6 months.

You need to remember you didn't gain weight overnight and it's going to take time to lose it too. I'd follow whatever program your nutritionist laid out for you, exercise, follow up with your surgeon monthly, and just do your best.

1-2 pounds per week is what you are supposed to aim for. I'd be pissed to only lose 1 or 2 pounds a month.

You need to do something more than ride a bike. Really stretch yourself. Start couch to 5k (we are about the same weight and I started running at me heaviest. You can do it!). Start Jillian's 30 day shred. I am doing p90x - just started this week. You will feel so strong and amazing when you accomplish something you think you can't do.

Having a goal to work towards is a great idea but make sure that you set yourself realistic goals otherwise you are simply setting yourself up for failure.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
