You've lost 40 pounds - that's great! Focus on the positives, and just make up your mind to get back on track. I understand that from your perspective, you may think you've failed, but to a newbie like me, your success gives me hope.

No need to be harsh. You know what to do and the fact that you are upset proves that you really want this. Keep working hard and get back on track. Can't go back and do things differently so just move forward. And just to keep things in perspective: my three weighs about 35 pounds. Take him and 20 sticks of butter and that is how much you have lost!

Oh harsh, I like harsh. Just kidding, you're doing great, 40 lbs in 3 mths =13 lbs per month, right on target. Sometimes are body needs time to catch up.

As far as eating larger portion size, you know the rules and what is right & wrong, no one needs to tell you. Just do it and I'm not talking about Nike.

Hope I wasn't too harsh?!

Happy Holiday's

I think you're being pretty darn harsh on yourself and no need to be. You've done great so far! Just push past this plateau and get ready for the next round of losing. You won't lose the same consistently, and I even think sometimes mixing things up a bit helps to confuse your body and break up hte metabolism monotomy. ;)

Wooooaaahhhh woah woah give your body time to catch up to you! You took off running out of that gate and have done Awesome! You must have known that this day would have come..now you get to look back and get a grip on how far you've come in such a short time.

Take a deep breath and calm that little voice in your head with all that crazy talk and focus on the horizon!

just get right back on track..you said your portion size was an issue..so stop..

stop at your allotted amount and eat your Protein and veggie and fruit..you are doing so well..i can only dream of weighing what you weigh right now...keep drinking too to help you combat head hunger vs real hunger...you can do it..hang in there.

I know at times this weight loss thing can be frustrating. I am newly banded so I can't really speak to the plateaus that some have with the band. Stay encouraged and know that you will start losing again. Where are you in Louisiana? Are you in a support group? Just asking because I am in louisiana.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
