Yo ho Yo ho-the banded life for me

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Made the decision. This board has been so much help, I can't thank you all enough, no kidding. What a bunch of super people you all are THANK YOU ALL!!! I give you all a big hand :clap2:

Anyway...

Going to Tufts NEMC in Bah-ston. I believe my BCBS New England will cover it.

So I'm on my way (just call me shania! lol!)-first appt on the 27th with the psychologist and nutritionist and the plumber, the baker and the candlestick maker. ;) Then 6 weeks of group stuff. At first it kinda ticked me off. I made the decision so I want it n-o-w! but I see their point. It's a life changing decision so I guess they want to make certain you are certain.

I checked out every hospital in the Boston area. Finally I had to decide between a lot of experience (1,00 bands) and geographically desirable 75 bands). And yes I do realize how extremely lucky I am, living in an area that actually has choices to choose from to get the band.

Again, thank you all

Love,

Diva

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
