i am afraid that i am experiencing my first "Stuck" episode. I'm not totally sure on how it feels. But this pain I'm feeling is horrible. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop it or even let me know if this is what I'm feeling?!

The food will eventually pass through, walk around and stretch your arms up. If it doesn't pass through it will come up on its own and you'll get instant relief. Be careful though when you eat again as you may have some swelling and irritation because of the stuck episode. You may want to do liquids for a day.

My nutritionist has told me coke helps with stuck episodes, the bubbles make you burp and it's supposed to dislodge the food. Depending on what it is that is stuck liquid can also make it worse for example if its doughy type foods.

warm Water helps. If you have ever got a pill stuck half way down or a piece of French bread that is what it feels like to me..it will get better but chew better and smaller bites will help in the future but this eill happen again.

It does hurt!! Sometimes I try and force it to come back up, other times I will try and drink until it litterally floats up, sometimes I just walk and it passes.

Hey Kayla I just had my worst stuck episode yet tonight. Thank goodness I was with my dad and stepmom who has the lapband and can understand. We went to Texas Roadhouse and I spent like a 1/2 hour in the bathroom and it was horrible, worst paint I have had yet. I pb'd about 3 times and just did the pineapple juice (thanks Lassie) and now I'm finally relieved. That's what 3 bites of steak and 3 bites of sweet potato got me, still not sure what did it, but that sucked!

It's the size of the bites, how well it is chewed, and even the type of meat involved. Some steak is drier and stringier than others.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
