Will It Ever Feel Normal.

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if it will ever be normal again in my tummy like no weird feeling like now gas growling etc. just like before the surgery no feeling at all.

I don't regret any decision in my life because at the end I will make it work

Yes, it does get better. There will always be days when the tummy growls but nothing like in the beginning. Good luck to you,.

I am not sure what you mean by normal. You are different now. Thankfully you have an amazing tool to help you lose weight...so you aren't ever going to feel like you did before

, if you are talking about the post op surgery recovery... It takes a few weeks for the gas to totally escape and the healing to be finished. So you will feel more like yourself but I haven't felt like I did pre banding so far. And don't get me wrong...it's a great thing.

The gas and yucky post surgery feeling will go away.

But I think I will always be aware I have the band in me. The more weight I lose, the more I feel the port and that does give me occasional discomfort. Totally worth it for the benefits though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
