Perhaps you are drinking too fast. Remember to sip your liquids, you have a tiny pouch now.

You're only 16days out so you still have to be careful. I just finished 30days of full liquids.< /p>

Like NewDawn said, try drinking slower.

Best wishes!

You're getting blisters? Where?

Why are you getting blisters on your tongue? It sounds like you may have a more serious problem other than not knowing that you should not have carbonated beverages after being banded.

Did your doctor/surgeon/nutritionist review what your post-op diet progression should be?

Call your doctor. As far as I know, no one on LBT is a medical professional. Those blisters could be from reflux, an infection, or whatever, but we can't see them and we can't diagnose the cause or prescribe the treatment.

Let us know what your doctor says, OK?

I just read this as "I'm getting blisters cuz I'm craving one" I thought that was some term I wasn't familiar with.

If you have blisters on your tongue, you need to call your Dr, pronto!

Agreed, until I saw the replies I actually glazed over that detail.

Hi an welcome Valerie. Ok so you have gotten some really ggod advice.

Blisters call Dr. Me for one I am not a real Water drinker either so I for one drink Crystal lite watered down. No matter what i drink it has to be room temp. Cold anything makes my pouch constrict.

Yes Florida even my wine lol. ;)

Let us know about the blisters

I was sondering to about the blisters...where and why?

I know I'm gonna get blasted for this, but if your doc says soda is ok, go for it. My doc says its ok to sip on, better if you let it sit for a few minutes. I drink soda (diet) almost daily, I let it sit in a cup for 10-15 minutes prior to drinking and have had NO problems for a year. I don't gulp it and I do consciously pay attention and make sure I don't feel a bloated type feeling. I know several people who do the same & have had no problems with carbonated drinks. Follow your docs instructions though...if he says yes, then enjoy....if he says no, stay away!!

Problem is, she's only been banded since Nov 2. She needs to heal a little more.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
