The Bandster A Dying Breed?

Okay I went to a support group meeting last night and I was the only one left with a Band out of about 40 women? Are less people getting the Band? Everyone was pretty well spilt among the ByPass and the Sleeve. Getting lonely out there!

My surgeon doesn't do the sleeve or bypass. Maybe he feels like it interferes with the normal bodily functions whereas the band doesn't. That's my take on the other procedures . It's just opinions but he was has done over 600 bands I believe... That tells me something.

My surgeon also does only lap band. He is also a trauma surgeon. He's done over 1000 bands and lost one due to blood clots ( at least he discloses) he is awesome and so is the hospital he works out of. dr. Coirin- Modesto cab

I know people who have failed on Bypass too! Then theres the Bypass to Band people! The Sleeve is just a new method of stomach stapling! Yikes! So far, I love my Band I couldnt have gotten this far without it and I know we are going to take it all the way to goal!
