I Need Some Opinions And Help!

Recommended Posts

ok, first let me say i AM very happy with my weight loss from the band (7/10/11 274lbs. Today 183lbs.) but other than that i am miserable. i cant seem to keep ANYTHING down, not even sips of Water and the vomiting continues even on an empty stomach, all that comes up seems to be stomach acid. i've experimented with many different diet changes and liquids. i cant keep in Vitamins or antibiotics (recent blood work showed high white blood cells). i have been hospitalized a few times for dehydration as well. the kicker for me personally was the recent anxiety attacks that are caused from feeling so weak and vomiting so hard. i can't really go see the doctor that put the band in since i recently moved states. i am physically and mentally exhausted and keep thinking "just get this thing out of me". the constant burning and pain is just too much and i am at a loss on what else to try to get myself healthy again. i am turning to you all for any opinions or support please.

-Kim

Hi Kim,

First let me say congratulations on your weight loss success. Now, with that said with all the problems you have been having is not normal with the band. You really really need to get to a Bariatric Specialist (surgeon) so that they can do some testing on your. You could possibly have a band slip, erosion, etc.

Vomiting and not being able to eat is a serious sign and to delay you seeing a bariatric surgeon will only cost you your health.

There are tons of Bariatric Surgeons all over the states, no one will turn you down just because you moved.

Please don't waste another minute, get on google and search for a Bariatric surgeon in your area!

What state are you living in? Maybe someone on the forum from your state can help..

Kim,

I wouldn't wish panic attacks on my worst enemy. I've had them for 15 years.

I hope you take the other girl's advise and find a doc asap.

You may need two for now, one for the LB and one or a therapist to get control of the attacks so they don't control you.

You will be in my prayers tonight.

Like everyone else i too belive you need to be seen, but untill you can do that, start al over by that i mean get some kind of high protien drink and redo your 2 week liquid diet, once the surrounding band tissue is irratated and then you keep trying to do solids it will not heal,it needs time for all the irratation to go away!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
