I have been married 10 years....some of them thin, some of them fat....and fat right now waiting in line to be approved for my surgery! But we are still "active" at least three times a week (that is our current marital commitment we made after some hectic life and ridiculous dry spells)

I agree with ALL of those that say it's just a mental thing. My husband loves driving me wild as much as I love to drive him crazy. When I am pleasing him I am not thinking about love handles, stray hairs, or any other crazy things. I am just thinking that I am so in love with this man I'm making love to. He pinky swears me the same thing and I have learned to say F-it, I'm fat but I'm not dead and I'm lucky to be in a great marriage with someone who wants to be with me and make me happy in and out of the bedroom.

Go for it girl! Afterwards I doubt you will say you wish you didn't do that LOL.

lol......you guys are killing me..... i had a guy tell me once... Men don't care about any of that. Only people that worry about it ..... is us.

So if he wants to..... let him. Have a glass or two of wine and relax....enjoy your partner

I'm with you on this!! My hubby says the same thing. What we focus on is completely different then what they focus on. I've learned to relax and enjoy. ;)

In the first years of my marriage, I reluctantly gave into my husband regarding this topic. I was always worried about what he was thinking etc. I had four children with him, so my weight fluctuated throughout the years. No matter how embarassed I would feel~ he would always make me feel like the queen of the world. The longer I was married-- the more comfortable I became with my husband. It was not until I trusted him completely, that I finally let go of my insecurities. This lead me to became more open about my sexual wants and needs. I am glad that he taught me to be secure in who I am.

A few years ago, we divorced; and I figured I would be uptight about it, again. I have had one long term relationship since then. At the beginning, I was a little nervous. However, becoming secure in my own skin is very freeing.

Best wishes to you! :)

Amen, if men are doing it, or want to do it. They don't see all the flaws you see. They want to make the woman they are in love with feel good. Relax and enjoy it, either that it they are doing it wrong LOL

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
