hey guys im doing a youtube blog' date=', please check me out and subscribe,, i think its a great way to keep up to date with each other and inspire each other

http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCttJduDYJCvcLNYh0tyXAIg?feature=mhee

I just saved it and I'll watch it first thing in the morning! (trying to be quiet and my headphones are in my car.)

I also just added a new entry in my blog on here, it's just a short update. I posted a picture of my incisions and it'd be nice to hear feedback. I'm pretty pleased with how small they look but I don't really have any to compare to!

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/blog/7154-my-band-journey/ is my blog and again, you have to add me as a friend to view it! Annoying, I know, but I don't want non LBT random people around the Web to somehow see it. We all share a similar story - others just don't understand and my story is a secret because, well, I just don't have time for the BS, I got L-Bees to shred!

Tylenol Pm should be ok, its just tylenol and diphenhydramine (generic benadryl). My dr told me i could take benadryl because of the itching from the glue.

I've been taking liquid colace three times a day and a ducolax at night. They have really helped. Before taking them everything was as hard as a rock, very uncomfortable.

Hi I was banded 10/4 & I have to say I never thought the healing process would be so bad I'm still sore, it didn't help that my stitches got infected, but other than that im so happy I did it!!! I rarely feel hungry just drink 3 Protein Shakes a day, I feel lighter already,

I can eat the mushy food but dont know what to eat.

I'm having Protein shakes coz its easy, did anyone have any problems with what to eat?

That's all I'm struggling with!

I did when I first started the mushy phase. Then I reverted back to the time that I would make all of my children's baby food. I always made sure it was fresh, cooked well, blended and balanced. The only difference is that I can add salt to mine. I made lasagna without the noodles, guacamole with pork loin blended in and even grilled fish blended with broth.

My son calls it "bathtub Gerber". ( referring to how moonshine was made in the tub)

I'm starting soft food today and I'm worried. Not sure what to do.

Hi all!

I was banded on 10/11/12, so I'm still on clears. I'm feeling good but having a hard time getting any Protein in. The shakes make me nauseated and I haven't found anything I can stomach for protein yet. (I only got down about 10 gm yesterday and I know that's nowhere near what I need.) I've ordered the Unjury stuff cause I hear it's *pretty good*.

Happy to be here! Can't wait for mushies....

I find unjury to be pretty tasty especially compared to the Optifast I was on years ago!

I had trouble the first few days too but it got easier and easier as the swelling goes down.

Also, seems silly but it's huge deal to me, last night I noticed that my nails are all a little farther than my fingertips and they're strong, not brittle! So exciting! Lol. I've had crappy fingernails for a long time! I take my Vitamins religiously now since I started my journey and this, to me, is a huge success! Now come oooon skinny!

Congrats! Are you having the gas pains people are talking about? One week from today-I can't wait!!!

I have very little gas pain. I had my surgery at 9.20 went back to my cousins at 12.20 and had a short nap. After my nap we went shopping. Had no discomfort whatsoever. I also slept on my side last night.

Went shopping again today.

The best part is - I am not hungry! I was on Water all day yesterday and start my fluids today. Tomorrow I can start cream Soups and Protein Shakes.< /p>

So far this has been a very good experience!

Wishing you as good a recovery as I seem to be having!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
