Halfway To My Goal!!!

Recommended Posts

I've been a little lax in activity on this site lately, but I've been busy in my own journey. I wanted to share that as of today I have lost 101 lbs!!!! I really started trying to lose weight in February of 2012 and I was actually banded on May 10th. I am halfway to my goal of 200lbs lost and I am pretty excited about it! I hope by this time next year I am at my goal. On a side note, a lot of people at work keep asking me how much I've lost (I wish I could hide the fact that I'm losing weight, but it's kind of hard). I tell them that I'm not sharing that information (I've never been a good liar) and they seem to get upset with me. Its kind of bothersome. Anyone else have this issue, how did you deal with it?

Best of luck to you all!

Congratulations!!! So exciting!!

Honestly, I'm pretty open about how much weight I've lost. At the beginning I struggled with it but now I'm proud of what I've accomplished so far. Plus, I won't lie, it's amusing as heck to watch people's jaw drop when I say I've lost over 150 pounds.

If you're not comfortable telling people how much you've lost, I'd simply smile and say "a lot"

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
