Tonight I Wish I Didn't Have The Band

I'm usually really thrilled when the band prevents me from eating something. But tonight I am just exhausted by it. I had a really bad day, feel very down, and ordered mexican food... Now one bite into it and I'm having trouble. I know this is why I got the band, but every once in a while I'd like to just stuff my face. wah wah, poor me. I'm sure I'll be happy later, but for now I'm feeling sorry for myself.

I feel the same way! Sometimes I really want something, but cannot because my doesn't like it! Makes me sad.

Wow thats teeeeeny!!

Getting my 1st fill soon so i'm glad to be seeing this

One question though: Do you ever feel frustrated by how tiny the bites need to be?

I really don't. I know if I take tiny bites there isn't anything I can't eat. I eat breads, Pasta, rice, all the stuff people have problems with or have to stop eating entirely. To me, it's a fair trade. Tiny bites but still able to eat anything I want.

hang in there tomorrows a new day you are doing a great job at changing yourself take care

Glad to hear!

Love this thread!!! Glad to see i am not the only one that feels this way!!!

I think about this all the time. For the most part, I'm very good with what I eat. But, sometimes, I just to want to eat without thinking and worrying about every bite that goes into my mouth. I'm always scared I'm going to get stuck and going out to eat now has starting causing anxiety attacks because I know I will get stuck everytime and end up making excuses to go to the bathroom praying that there isn't a line. I have also started hiding my stuck episodes from my husband because he gets so angry about my decision to get banded due to my constant habit of getting stuck. I'm having a horrible time wrapping my head around the small bite thing. I just can't seem to force myself to take small bites. I'm just so freakin hungry, I want food and I want the hunger pains to go away. But then, I get stuck and that causes a whole new type of pain.

I never dreamed it would be this way and there are days I wish I could just get the damn thing taken out and eat normal again.

I have been trying to eat my lunch at work for over an hour now and every bite is causing discomfort and I have to wait like 10 minutes for it to pass. It's just so frustrating. I wanted something to help me feel full quicker and eat less, not something that causes issues and pain when eating anything!!
