I checked something off my list this past weekend. I have lost enough weight that I could physically handle going to the fair in my home town and walking. Still haven't lost enough to ride rides but that is my goal for next year. I want to loose enough to get on rides with my kids!

There are soo many that I have..First of all would be shopping in the regular dept of stores no more plus size, being able to buy a shirt and it not have an X in the size, being comfortable in my own skin again, not feel bad when my hubby see's me naked. I just look forward to feeling like a 27 year old and not a 50 year old! good luck everyone!

Running in a Spartan Race with my sister, fitting into a sexy black dress for a night on the town with my man, throwing away my Spanx!! Wearing boots that fit my legs the right way, not having to shop in the Plus Size section at any store!! Enjoying the rest of my 20's healthy and fit!

Next summer, going to the amusement park and actually going on the rides

Not worrying about the seatbelt on an airplane

Ladypart thing, like you mentioned - lol

Shopping in the misses dept

Not opting for slip on shoes so I don't have to struggle tieing them

Hopefully, not taking BP meds anymore

Hopefully, ridding myself of sleep apnea

Not feeling so self conscious

Having more energy

Being able to wear knee high boots (these damned calves)

Being able to sit in a meeting at work and not look down just to see my belly all bunched up

Going out w/ friends at lunch and not having to take the front passenger seat as it is the most "spacious"

Not worrying about going to a concert and spilling over on the person next to me or worrying about going through the turnstyle getting into the show

Having more clothing options - that can include wearing horizontal stripes ( )

Having more hairstyle options rather than just the ones that don't accentuate my round face

LOL - those are a "few" of the things I am looking forward to.

I like all of yours, and will add:

Being able to paint my own toenails

Cross my legs at the knee

Feel sexy again, for my husband

Sit on the floor and play with grand kids

Go horse back riding

Feel comfortable dancing at a party

Not being the fattest person in the room

Yes, how did I forget some of those! I haven't crossed my legs in yrs or painted my own toe nails. Well I tried but it didn't come out very well, LOL

The horseback riding is a good one too!

I went w/ my fiance and all our kids to the Smoky Mountains. We did a horseback outting too. I called ahead to see what the weight restriction was as I was afraid I would have to sit out as to not injure some poor horse. Much to my surprise, I was within the weight restriction. However, there was a caveat to it.... I had to ride "diablo" - YES, that was the horse's name. I swear it was a friggin Clydesdale. I had to get on a platform and then a chair so I could get on/off this horse. They gave me the biggest horse. I was so scared on the ride too going up and down hills on this giant! I guess, that is a good thing I would love to try again on a "normal" sized horse. :)

Being able to wear a belt with jeans and have my blouse tucked in...tired of wearing clothing on the outside!

Just to name a few things...I'm looking forward to no longer shopping in the plus size stores/section, riding rides at amusement parks, crossing my legs, walking more than half a mile without my back hurting, and dancing through a whole song!

I have a lot of them ha ha. I'm 75 pounds down and have accomplished a few though. I took my 9 year old brother to Worlds of Fun and I could ride all the rides I wanted to expect the Patriot (probably another 30-40 pounds for that one!) I'm in college and I can fit in a desk without my stomach touching the desk part (I almost cried in class when I went this semester and could do that for the first time!).

I haven't flown since surgery so it will be interesting to see if I still need an extension. I'm going to Germany in May of next year so I'm sure I won't need it then! I'm in size 24 pants so I'm excited to get out of the 20's! I would love to wear belts!

Those are just a few! Good luck to everybody!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
