Im due to have gastric bypass 25th September anyone else?

I just got banded the 7th of sept and was not ready for the post op pain! I thought it was like day surgery and recovery would be quick, today is day 2 after surgery and I was able to go walking at the park to try and ease the gas pains, gas x strips and protein shakes!!! I guess no pain no gain!! I just have to remember in doing this for me!!!!!! I'll get there!!!

I am scheduled for September 11th.

I'm new but I'm scheduled for september 21st.... I'm on day 3 of pre op diet and lost 9 lb already! I'm so glad there is a forum .. Its nice having people to talk to that are going through the same thing!

I am also scheduled for the 21st, so nervous about it but can't wait! My doctor has not put me on a liquid diet at all, not sure why.

HI all....well today is my day. IM dressed and getting ready to walk out the door. Been stressing this Morning BIG TIME. Its hard when you have never had a surgery. Got my compressionn stocking on just to make sure I coudl get them on...lol Wish me luck all and please for those who pray..say a few prayers.

Ill post when I am able and let ya know how Im feeling and how it went.

Start pre-op diet today. Mine is Atkins, but no cheese or nuts. Hope to be banded on the 24th.

I am an official bandster! Got banded this morning a little after 7am. Feeling pretty good just a little sore and no gas pain. I even went for a trip to my home away from home...Walmart! I will post my experience on the post lap band sight under experiences.

Hi there! Got banded this morning!!! Feel pretty great now. Woke up saying "ow, ow , ow, ow" but they got if under control pretty fast. I was so worried. It was my first surgery as well. Cant believe how dry my mouth is but other than that I'm pretty good. excited for this next chapter!

Hi MJ19196, good luck with your pre op. I hope you just breeze through it. Just remember we are here for you if you are having a bad day. Today is my LAST day of pre op diet. Have to be at the hosptial tomorrow at 5:30am!!! YOU will be there soon......
