I Have To Get My Port Moved To The Opposite Side...

Recommended Posts

After 2 months of pain around my port area, my surgeon wants to move my port from my left side to my right side and put it much lower this time. Has anyone had to do this? I was curious about the recovery time and how it differs from the initial lap band surgery I had on March 1.

I have had pretty bad port pain after I eat or even drink for hours ever since my last fill. Also when I vigorously exercise. I'm curious as to when your port pan is and what ends up happening.

My pain is mostly in the evenings after working all day. I'm unable to do any exercise other then walking per the doctor's instructions. They believe my port tore away from the muscle when i was working out at the gym. I don't have any discomfort from eating or drinking. They think it may be rubbing against my ribs and the only way to fix it is to move it and put it much lower this time. I hope you can find a solution to your pain. The lap band is such a different experience for each person. Good luck on your journey!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
