Im almost 37 weeks and I have gained. But only about 16lbs. I have 10cc's in a 14 cc band and had none removed. Didnt have morning sickness and was able to still eat well. Im told that all the weight I gained will be lost at delivery due to baby, Fluid and placenta. Although to be honest I could care less. I can always lose more weight but at 35 my chances of getting pregnant again go down. Dont worry about weight gain, its part of growing a human being!!

I'm not pregnant, was just curious. I'm not worried about it when/if it happens was just curious.

That's amazing though, youll def drop almost all that instantly, baby weight, placenta, & Fluid should be about that lol

First time I was preggers (before band) I lost during the first trimester due to my fabulous "food rental" program (puking all the time) but I made up for it in trimesters 2 & 3

Hi there!

I actually lost weight up until I was about 18 weeks. I lost 16 pounds total, and then I started gaining, but I've only gained 17 pounds so far, and I'm just about 36 weeks, and so I'm almost done :)

I'm only 14 weeks and have gained about 5 pounds. I expect it's mostly because all I could tolerate during my first trimester was carbs. Everything else made me nauseous and sick. I'm accustomed to working out hard at least 4-5 times a week and also had to curtail that. (I'm 40 and pregnant for the first time...) I still workout, though certainly not as hard. My OBGYN wants me not to gain weight. I had to see my bariatric surgeon last week because my port is no longer anchored. Yep, it moves freely. It protrudes from under my ribs without forcing it out, too! After congratulating me on losing over 8 pounds after my wedding, I mentioned my pregnancy and concerns about my floating/flipped port. We opted to drain the band as a precautionary measure. I haven't had food intolerances related to my band (after nearly 5 years of experience, I can definitely tell the difference between band issues and basic stomach issues) and decided since I've still managed to lose weight, I'd rather take the Fluid out before really getting big. I certainly don't want them manipulating this silly port at 7 months pregnant and trying to get the fluid out. So.....my band is on hold for now. Gaining weight has me horribly stressed. This is noooooo fun!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
