On Day Postop And Feeling Soo Full And Bloated All The Time!

Recommended Posts

so i feel bloated and full all the time even when I drink only a little bit. seems not more than an oz or maybe 2 b4 I am in pain? I am taking gas ex... heck not sure how many u can have in a day, gotta check on that....lol but doesnt seem to work. I am due to add liquid yogurt tomorrow, wondering if I am too swollen to do that? is this my diaphram or the band... I dont know. I have no PCP and my surgery was in mexico because I paid out of pocket. So I am kinda relying on your help. thanks for your input . I just want this bloated, rumbling in my tummy to stop already... any ideas would be great. thank you. also I have been being more active and it seems like its worse when I am moving around ?

That's all gas and it sucks!!! You can take several gas x chewables ls a day and it won't hurt you. Supposedly walking around and moving helps get rid of the gas but it's hard.

I will definitely email you tonight! I haven't set an actual number for my goal. I'm just gonna base everything on the joy of buying a smaller size jeans, lol! I don't wanna get overly obsessed with the scales. I started at 260 before the two week pre-op diet and this morning I was 245! I know it will slow down when I get to eat but I'm excited so far!

I am 1 week post op and I am just now getting the gas and the boating down. I am slowly being able to suck in my tummy (lol) until it starts to hurt. It will pass just every once awhile try taking in deep breath or use the breathing thingy they gave you at the hospital. It helped me alot to just be able to clear my lungs and just be ble to breath in deeply!

Hopefully this helps you some,

I was told before surgery that right after surgery I would only be able to have about 1 oz at a time but they also warned that dehydration was the most common complication after surgery. I set the alarm on my phone for about every 10-15 min while I was awake. I used a medicine cup and would drink about 1 oz everytime my alarm went off. Gradually I would increase the amount I drank. If you do start yogurt tomorrow I would Water it down a little until you no longer feel pain.

follow the directions your doctor gave to you and not ones that another person's Dr gave to them. If your Dr wanted you to follow a different diet, they would have made it clear.

Ya totally the gas trying to work it's way out. I remember eating gas x and Tums like candy, I would eat them like a meal since it got me full. I would eat sugar free Jello and be so full after 3 spoons. Give it time, stick to the liquids. I wasn't able to have yogurt until 3 weeks out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
