Stuck And Feeling So Crappy

Recommended Posts

Thought what I felt before was being stuck but I started sliming and ran to the bathroom heaving not to bring hardly anything up. I'm still hurting but I'm hoping the papaya enzyme helps. This taught me a lesson. Chew chew chew.

It's definitely a learning experience.

One of the two times I was really stuck and eventually PB'd, I bent at the waist over the toilet with straight legs and bounced gently. That made me burp big enough that the food came back up. (which by that time was a relief, I was miserable)

Sometimes some hot tea can wash the offending food through, too. I have found walking around helps as well.

Good luck!

Jeani81 - I feel your pain (no pun intended). I got semi stuck this AM on hot tea and stuck at lunch on Chinese chicken with boiled cabbage/carrotts. All was small, soft and I chewed the stuffin' out of it - today is just a tight band day and boy is it the pits. I have PB's and slimed and so now I am trying to enjoy a tall glass of Vitamin Water (oh, yummy). I was banded 1 yr ago and have lost a bunch of weight (104 lbs) but one day I think my band is too tight and the next - "what band". I am one confused puppy. Anyway, hope you are feeling better and hang in there. This happens to all of us - even those who are careful, eat small and chew. I still wouldn't go back to the way I was..FAT and Miserable

Walking helped me but wow I'm going to be super careful from now on.

Did the papaya enzyme work? I've heard this before and want to know what you think.

Omg I'm so glad I'm not the only one that this happens to. I was thinking maybe something was wrong with me or my band. One day I can be super tight and I can easily get stuck and the next I don't feel like I've ever been banded!! I have only been banded for a month and a half, but cant wait to have great results. Congratulations on your weight loss!! :)

Ashiashley- PB stands for productive burping, which feels different from vomiting. For some people food comes up but I have only experienced it as slime. Basically, your food gets stuck and your body works overtime to move it out by producing thick clear saliva in your stomach and mouth. I have a runny nose too. It is very uncomfortable and there is no relief til it comes up. This never happened to me til I got my 1st fill then I got stuck on some dry chicken and it took about 10 min to work it out. Since my 2nd fill, it is much easier to get stuck and I have been stuck twice with the same slimy result. Luckily, I have never truly vomited with the band. It will teach you to respect the band quickly. Chewing well and small bites are the key.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
