So after taking a bite of my daughters hot dog today and knowing I shouldn't it got stuck. I was banded may 1 and this was my first experience with something like this. I immediately threw up. For a few hours after that I kept throwing up a clear foamy slime. Now it's 7 hours later and if I even take a sip of Water I spit up this clear slimy foam.

Has anyone ever had this happen

I'm not a lap band patient. I actually had RNY surgery (gastric bypass), but I had a similar experience. I ate something I shouldn't and had the exact same issue of the white slimy foam. It lasted until the next day. Just keep trying to drink your fluids so you don't get dehydrated and if it continues thru tomorrow call your doctor. Hope this helps.

You probably still have a piece stuck. Stop trying to eat or drink. Try sucking small quantities of crushed ice. It may help to reduce the swelling enough that the item will eventually move through. If not you will have to go and see your Dr to get some fill taken out - you do not want to end up dehydrated.

Try to sleep proped up that way it can still work its way down threw the night and you dont have a huge pool of spit getting trapped behind it in your band. Middle of the night choking is never fun.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
