Can You Have Blended Soups On Pre Op Diet?

I was wondering if you can have blended soups, like chicken noodle, chicken tortilla, lentil soup, etc on the pre op liquid diet? I'm on a "full liquid" diet before surgery.

I had both chicken noodle and cream of chicken soup while on my pre-op, in fact I'm still having those. They were delicious when I was hungry! Every Dr is different, some will let patients even have meat or lean cuisines. Have a great day!

Please speak with your doctor. Keep in mind a blended soup is going to have carbs; and most doctors want to cut out carbs so your body is forced to burn fat ie that found in your liver.

Only clear liquids for me. Thank goodness I only have to do it for 3 days.

If you are on a liquid diet, you can have any soup you want IF you strain out all the chunks. That means no chunks of any kind. So essentially, you'll just be eating the broth and nothing else.
