  1. I would private message your email address to the individual. However, if you want to post your email to a thread, use good judgement and use this format to prevent spam: email AT domain dot com. An example would be xxxx AT xxxx dot com
  2. Anyway you could order both and return one later? If not, I would order the bigger size! It sounds like the dress would be a one size fits all type with only two sizes anyways? If it is, I don't think it would matter if say you went down to size 12, being that size A is 0-12 and size B is 14-?... What I'm trying to say is that I think you can pull off size B even once you shed some weight
  3. Just out of curiosity, what are you all eating at this stage? I'm still on mushies haha never thought I'd love mashed potatoes this much...
  4. Hello all I'm invited to a BBQ where I will be approximately 5-5 1/2 weeks post op, I will be on the soft food stage...what can I expect to eat? No one knows I had surgery so I'm wondering if I should go or skip? My nutritionist said to follow a bland diet/low Fiber diet while on soft foods. I don't know of any BBQ foods that fit that category. Thank you in advance
  5. My doctor said the glue will come when it is ready! Every person differs as to when they will peel off I wouldn't peel it off because its there protecting your wounds and will prevent bacteria from going into your scars.
  6. I feel you! My mom had the lapband done so all her friends and some family members were telling her and me that I should get the lapband too! They ask her almost everytime they talk to her if I got the band?! I finally told her to tell them that I'm not getting surgery and I know what do if I want to lose weight. How rude. I simply think it's no ones business.
  7. My doctor recommends 2 weeks full liquids, 2 weeks pureed and 2 weeks soft food before returning to a normal, solid diet at 6 weeks. What were your favorite pureed and soft foods? I'm not liking pureed soups and I'm tired of eating anything sweet. Thank you!
  8. Wow!! You are an inspiration!! How did you do it? Any special exercises or diet besides the band?? Way to go!!
  9. This is a weird/silly question, but since I've had surgery I've been sleeping on my back until I heal. Well the thing is, when I wake up my hair is so tangled from sleeping on my back. I have long wavy/curly hair. Did anyone else experience this? I've found that I have to douse my hair with lots of conditioner when showering and use a hair detangler. However, this is making my hair break and fall out. What can i do to prevent tangles? I sleep with my hair up in a pony tail or bun. Thank you in advance
  10. Aww! No don't be embarrassed! There was a point in time when I didn't know what it meant either! You learn something new everyday!
  11. Thank you all for your input! Sorry for the confusion about PB (Productive burping) haha
  12. Hi Everyone! I was wondering if any of you had trouble eating certain foods before your first fill? Did you get stuck, PB, etc? Did you have any food restrictions besides the post op diet that your doctor recommend you follow? Also, side question, did anyone burp/hiccup a lot during your recovery phase with the lap band? E.g. while you were on liquids? Thank you
  13. Vitacraves gummie vitamins! They are delicious and easy to swallow.
  14. I'm surprised he didn't prescribe you a liquid antibiotic! I wish you a speedy recovery! hang in there!
  15. I don't see any stitches popping out, it could possibly be a suture that didn't dissolve correctly. I had a hematoma/seroma in this particular scar. It's just been bothersome since day 1. Thank you for your reply. I've been treating it with rubbing alcohol and will call my doctor's office on Monday.
  16. I have what seems to be a little pocket of pus underneath my big port scar. One problem, I'm 4 months post op! Has anyone else had this? Should I call my doc? How should I treat it?
  17. Try sugar free ice cream, gazpacho Soup, low fat frozen yogurt/sugar free, etc.
  18. Lol I'm not on pre or post op diet but I don't think I can ever eat ramen noodles, pudding, yogurt, tomato soup, brocolli soup, or any cream soups again unless they are medically required...I feel your pain! Hang in there! Try different flavors.
  19. I have had them! I think it is due to being overweight! I can't wait to lose weight and to hopefully have the excess skin and scarred skin removed by plastic surgery! I know how you feel and they are very painful!
  20. I love my mom and I know she loves me very much. I told her again today how her words make me feel. She replied with saying how I always told her I was overweight. But she understood that she stepped outside of her boundaries. She didn't apologize but she did tell me that she loves me very much and she lives for me and my two brothers. She said that everything she's ever done in her life was for us. She said that she lives and breathes for me and loves me greatly. I don't think she will bring up my weight in a negative manner again. I could never cut my mother out of my life. I agree with the user who said something about her saying things like this for me to try and and lose weight, but it's just the opposite. It makes me sad and frustrated and makes me wanted to bake cupcakes! I told her how she always complained about my weight and I could tell she felt remorse. I know that deep down she wants me to be a healthy and beautiful individual. Sometimes, our emotions get the best of us. She's said many beautiful and loving words to me and has been very supportive, however like I said in an earlier post, these are the words I'll never forget she said. I'll forgive her though.
  21. Thank you to all. It was really hard to write this. I've told her how i felt before, but I don't think she means to hurt my feelings. They just come out of her mouth without her thinking how it would effect others. I'm 21 years old, I live at home and go to college. My insurance is through my dad. I cannot wait for the day to come where I graduate college and can support my self. I don't need to be belittled like this, especially when I'm still healing from surgery and about to start classes Monday. It's just these are the words that I will never forget she said... She recently had lapband surgery in January. However, her excuse is, " when I was your age I weighed 125 lbs " blah blah blah You all have turned my tears to smiles and for that I truly thank you!
