No, it's not unless you just had surgery and you are swollen. Heartburn either means you are too tight, you slept on a full pouch, or possibly a slipped band. You should call your doc.

It can happen if you eat too close to bedtime. If it persists or gets worse, call your doctor. If it is so bad you are waking up choking or coughing at might, talk to your doctor right away.

Mine was te result of a hiatal hernia which I am having repaired surgically.

Heartburn is not a good thing. You should definitely speak to dr about it. I had it for months before my doctors decided to do an endoscopy which revealed that my band had slipped up. If you are not eating foods that would generally cause heartburn ( sauces, fried foods, etc) call your doctor. Not trying to worry you but you dont want to delay. mine got to the point where I felt like I as choking all the time and the heartburn kept me up an note. No amount of runs or Maalox would help. Good luck

Hi. I doubt ur band has a slipped just because u have heartburn If u can drink anything and it just comes up that means it slipped. If u have heartburn just go back to liquids for a few days and don't eat a few hours before bed.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
