Anyone Ever Failed The Psych Exam? Or Is It Just Me!

I recently completed my psych exam. Almost 600 questions and I did my best to answer them honestly. After I finished, I spoke with the psychologist. He says that I apparently am Bi Polar. I have suspected this for years, but no doctor has ever taken me seriously. Now I have to do 4 visits with another psychologist before I can resume my lap band process. Has anyone ever had a similar experiance? How did you cope?

I haven't had a similar experience, but I did want to offer support. You didn't fail your psych exam, It sounds like to me you passed, by getting a dr to confirm something you have suspected, hopefu

  • What a different experience I had. My doc just asked if I understood what the band was all about and made sure I knew what I was getting into. Took about 10 minutes and there was no test. Just informa

I haven't had a similar experience, but I did want to offer support. You didn't fail your psych exam, It sounds like to me you passed, by getting a dr to confirm something you have suspected, hopefully you can get the help you need to make this process work for you. I know it must be disappointing to delay, but really you will be so much better off for taking care of this now. I wish you the best of luck!

I was totally shocked I passed mine. It is great that you will just require some more visits, but still get banded. I'm am so glad you were able to get a good diag on the bipolar. It sucks when doctors won't listen. Good Luck!!!

I worried about passing mine. Some weird questions in there. But if by taking yours, you have discovered something you did suspect. That is a good thing.

What a different experience I had. My doc just asked if I understood what the band was all about and made sure I knew what I was getting into. Took about 10 minutes and there was no test. Just informal conversation.....

I hope it works out for you!
