  1. Wow, great job! Isn't that the best feeling well you can fit into a size you haven't been in awhile.
  2. I've found this community so helpful, so welcome aboard. Glad to hear things are going well for you so far.
  3. checking in at 273.4. up a pound, ugh! rationally I know it's only a pound, and it's probable just water wait (thank you that time of the month) but still ugh
  4. walking, walking and more walking. It's most likely gas pain, so you won't feel better until it all dissipates. A heating pad can also help, as well as rocking in a rocking chair (if it doesn't hurt too much).
  5. on my second fill I felt a big yank coming out as well. Never felt it going in either fill.I didn't feel the band move, but definitely the port!
  6. Don't worry, as others have said it's water weight. I didn't even step on a scale for a month after surgery. I knew I would freak out if I saw a number I didn't like.
  7. Congrats on your surgery. The first couple of weeks were the hardest for me. I was hardly able to eat/drink anything at all. My dr wanted me to have I think 65 gm of protein a day and atleast 64 oz of liquids. In the beginning I didn't reach those, it was only until about week 3 that I got enough in. I couldn't stand any of the protein powders, I thought they were all vile. I think Premier Protein shakes (30gm protein) from costco are the best. EAS shakes are also pretty good, though less protein. My drs plan was three 2oz meals a day.(starting with pudding consistancy then moving to solid foods by week 4. Plus as much protein drink/liquid as I wanted. Just sip all day long to get enough protein in. Do you have a nutritionist you can talk to? Mine were so helpful in the beginning. Good luck!
  8. Congrats! You've done a great job!!
  9. checking in at 272.4! 6 pounds since last week!!! That's what a combo of a fill and upping exercise did for me
  10. Yippee!! You're doing great.
  11. You are an inspiration! I am so happy for you. Enjoy all the great new clothes you want, you deserve it !
  12. I was banded in May and I flew a couple of weeks ago. I had one fill prior to the flight, but only 2.5cc, so not much restriction. I didn't have any problems at all, and I didn't change how/what I was eating before/during travel. Each person is different, so to be safe you might want to stick with liquids/soft foods before/during your flights.
  13. checking in today at 278.4 I have reached 50 pounds lost, insert happy dance here. They key for me was increasing my exorcise. Did at least 30 minutes everyday last week. Had my second fill yesterday, definitely feeling more restriction today.
  14. I wasn't cleared for anything other than walking until about week 5. It all depends on your doctor and how you are healing.
