Food For Mission Trip

I am 4 weeks post op and heading to Haiti for a week. I am on a regular diet and have packed a bunch of tuna/chicken. Any ideas? Can we eat crackers?

Everyone is different but if you will be gone for only a week. I would be on the safe side and take TONS of soups, protein shakes and things like that until u are sure what you can eat

I have trouble with bread, tortillas, chps. You should try one in your house before you get away to see how your band reacts. I think if you do not chew it to a liquid form it may be rough.

Sugar free pudding cups, you can put protein powder in them. Carnation breakfast mix (no sugar) with soy milk (in the non-fridgerater section, walmart has single serve packs of 4).

Crackers are a challenge for me, I have some flatbreads that I eat with cheese and meat but they really take serious chewing!
