Favorite Exercise? :)

I was wondering what types of exercise everyone likes to do. I am going to compile a "to do" list for myself for when I can really start working out. I was a competitive swimmer when I was in school and I love weight lifting so those will be on the list for sure.

I love zumba...even though I can not dance a lick.

Stair climber....the kind that looks like an escalator with about five steps. If u go slow, tighten your buns as you step, it works legs and butt. I do about 20-25 minutes to music and headphones. You burn a lot of calories and sweat! I feel like I get a great workout.

No kidding! When my wife and I started, we thought we would die after running for 20 minutes. Then it was 40. Now we can do an hour! It is amazing how much easier it becomes over time -- as you lose weight and get your body conditioned. :D

I have an array of exercises I enjoy EXCEPT running!

I take Muay Thai kickboxing classes, I now teach Zumba classes and take them. I do heavy weightlifting (squat 205#, benchpress 115#, deadlift 225# and leg press 600#). I do circuits and weight training with my trainer as well. Any functional exercise is great as well (playing sports with the kids, doing a fitness circuit at my kid's highschool, etc.).

Ranking them...kickboxing, zumba, weightlifting, circuits~

Jazzercise! Jazzercise! Jazzercise! I love Jazzercise.

Check out this blog post that shows how much Jazzercise has changed my body shape, even though I am still the same weight on the scale.

Let's talk about my back fat:

:)

My favortie has constantly changed as my body has changed. I use to love the elliptical, then it was the arc. Now I do very little cardio and focus on weight lifting. It is my new passion!

Zumba and Aqua Fit. I love classes. They go fast and are fun. I dont see myself getting bored with them.

Right now I'm walking and doing couch to 5K. Tried Zumba, it was difficult for me but I will pick it back up. I would love to try aqua fitness, Pilates and yoga.

I love swimming. I go out every morning and swim for 30-45 minutes. I'm not Michael phelps- I just paddle back and worth while I listen to music. It's very enjoyable. I change the stroke every lap but I don't stop. I'm more if an indoor girl but I actually look forward to it. When it's cooler I walk the dog with my neighbor. The key is to find something you like doing. It doesnt make the weight fall off but i sure feel better doing it! It clears my head and gives me more energy. Does anyone have suggestions for good exercise CDs?
