I have been back at work 2 days now. My surgery was 6/19. I have had no trouble whatsoever. I am an Administrative Assistant so I really don't have an intensive job...it gets hectic, but nothing too strenuous. Now...would I like to be home with my hubby? You betcha!

My surgery is on a Thursday, I am going back to work on Monday.

I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I had a c-section and within 2 days, I was doing a heck of a lot more than I should have been doing with no issues. I am thinking since this is not nearly as invasive as a c-section, I should be ok with 4 recovery days and then coming back to my desk job.

i only had five days of sick/vacation left for the year but luckily, i have a super supportive boss and granted me an additional week of PTO just because he wanted me to be successful...and probably doesn't want me to quit, lol. so, i have a total of two weeks off. i don't think i'll really need it but i'd be a fool to turn it down. i am a bit of a baby when it comes to pain though. i manage a warehouse, which is mostly desk work, a LOT of walking around and some occasional lifting - which i think i can't do for a few weeks? i still need to get clarification re: that.

I had mine on a Tues and went back on Mon, but I really would have been fine to return on Friday.

I took 2 weeks off, and I'm glad that I had! I had some complications after surg. And glad I had the extra time to rest! But only you know what your body can handle.

Had surgery on a Thursday and was back to my desk job on Monday morning. Slow moving, but it wasn't major surgery so no biggie.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
