  3. I do better when I record what I eat. It makes me accountable. Don't be discouraged! It takes time, not all of us lose or gain the same.
  4. Congratulations! I have had so many problems since getting my band, but not because of it. I've had a complete unfill and had to start over. I have 4cc in a 10 cc band and have had my band since April of 2012. I'm 18 months out and felt like I was at my sweet spot for the last 6. I had a small fill today from 3.75 to 4. Only because I have noticed that it's been gradually taking a little more food for me to feel satisfied. I'm only on liquids now but I'll see in a few days how it goes. I'm happy with your story, mostly because I didn't even know that there was a 4cc band, and I like to hear how much others are filled with to be at their "sweet spot".
  5. I work at a doctors office. The best advice I can give a patient is that YOU are your own best health advocate. You are the only one who knows how your body feels, and when something isn't right. Don't ever worry that you are bothering your doctors office! It's our jobs to take care of the patients, even if that means just listening to them. Granted, I don't work in a bariatric office, but I think it's good advice for anyone!

  10. I recently came down with a case of West Nile Virus with encephalomeningitis. It was causing all sorts of vomiting and nausea! Thank God my surgeon called me back and told me to go straight to the E.R. He admitted me from there. I have only had my band done on 04/29/12. I was scared and so sick! He unfilled my band completely. Thank God he did that! I just had my f/u with him this morning. He wants to wait 6 weeks before we start fills again. He wants me to regain my strength back first! I have more problems with everything else, but the band!
  11. I was banded 4/29/12. I have lost 45lbs.
  12. I'm so happy for you! You're doing great! Keep up the good work!
  13. I guess I'm really lucky! I have 3.25 cc's in a 10 cc band. I have to eat soft foods very slowly. I might even be a little to tight, but I'm not going to tell on myself! I can get liquids and soft foods just fine. Tightest in the morning. I'm in my "green zone" now. Can't eat a lot of things now, but that's good for me. Can't do breads at all, very little pasta, and no rice. Since those are my weaknesses, this is a great thing for me! But I do miss being able to eat as I used to. But that's what got me to being so fat in the first place. My tool is really helping!
  14. Hahaha! That's all!
  15. I had my surg. On 4/27/12. I had my first fill of 2 cc's on 5/27/12, and I lost 8 pounds that month. Just got another fill of 1.25 cc's and can hardly eat anything. I think I got my "sweet spot" already! It's been hard to fight the head hunger! I can feel that I'm full, but I still have to take a bite or two more, and this is soo bad, that I get pb's.
  16. I took 2 weeks off, and I'm glad that I had! I had some complications after surg. And glad I had the extra time to rest! But only you know what your body can handle.

  20. I've tried several times to eat bread. All kinds do bread, flat bread, white, whole wheat, whole grain, they are all a NO-NO for me! I'm only 2 months out, but that ended up being a really good thing for me. I was a giant bread addict. Stuck episodes don't usually last that long, I would go get it checked out!
