Problems With Phlegm

Recommended Posts

What do you bander's do to keep this stuff flowing through your band>

I have such bad allergies and this gunk feels like it lays in my throat and I have tried cough syrups with expectorants and they do not really do much. Any thoughts?

Tomorrow I am going to do a barium ultra sound to ck the band and make sure all is good. It has not been checked in almost 2 yrs and it has been almost a year since I had a fill. Been a bit worried about my food intake as I did gain some weight. But we will see..

Really want to know about the Phlegm, thanks for your input folks..

M

To me that sounds like slime....from getting mildly stuck. The first couple of times it happened to me, when I coughed a big blob of stuff came up. Sooo gross! It sounds almost like you have a cough from being sick. I do have allergies also and haven't quite figured out if they contribute to band tightness or not. When I take an allergy med it doesn't really seem to help with the slime (but I can breathe better through my nose, which does help at times). Can you take a Reactine or something daily for now while it's bad allergy season?

Glad you are getting your band checked. Is it from post nasal drip? Allergies can make bands feel tighter. If it isn't from your sinuses, it could be from reflux from your stomach, that can cause a cough.

I don't have a cough at all, and my sinuses are mad drippy up here in Jersey! lol Back home I would be all clogged up but here in NJ my nose is constantly running. I know the doc will notice tomorrow when he does that barium swallow ultra sound, and no reflux to speak of really..

I will be very glad when he just says oh it all looks good 1/2 cc is all i am going to give you and that will be my sweet spot I am sure of it.!!!

We will see

Thank you all for your input

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
