I Get My First Fill Tomorrow And I'm Scared!!

Is it going to hurt? Will I be throwing up? I can sort of eat anything now, not as much as pre-band, but no restriction. I know I need a fill, but... wah! I'm nervous!!

It's different for everyone. My port is deep because i have a lot of abdominal fat so for me it hurts a little. I've got 2 fills, i did not throw up, but you have to be careful after the fill to eat really, really slow, (more than usually).

my fils have never hurt even when i was very heavy .. we are all different but on the whole its over in a very short time and really doesnt hurt at all, so there really is no need to be scared .. the surgery u had already will have hurt more than any fill :)

The fill itself is pretty painless and is over quickly. My surgeon likes 48hr of liquids and then a day of mushies after a fill.

I'm nervous about my first fill too! It's the first week of June. let us know how yours goes! Do drs ever miss the port? :/
