you could try it works body wraps to help with the extra skin. I just put one on for 45 min and literally lost almost three inches already. I was skeptical that they might not work but so far it seems to.

Its not uncommon for some people to gain a little weight back. You just have to work that much harder to get it off. As far as the skin I dont know what you can do to make it smaller because all of us were so stretched out that it is hard for the skin to go back in.

I could have wrote that myself. I am so frustrated. To make it worse my friend who was banded a few months before me has had no issues and never gained back an ounce :( I feel like I am failing. Supporting each other is would be great as I tackle this again!

I had my surgery in 2010 and I was 244 I am now at 191 and I haven't had a problem with weight gain but you might want to ask your doctor for adepex to control your appetite. My doctor gives that for help. But the key now is to work out like crazy. The skin is an unfortunate because I'd you we're big now you have shrunk there will be skin. Keep up with your Protein Shakes and start researching plastic surgeon doctors who specialize in gastric patients . They have financing

I have not had my surgery yet, but I have had something called a "belt lipectomy". I went from 130 to 230 while pregnant with my oldest daughter and have stuggled with losing and gaining the same 30 pounds ever since then (19 years now). My skin is really crappy.... very little elasticity. At any rate, after I lost 30 pounds (the first time) my skin was not too bad, but after having done that a few more times.... the skin just hung there like an "apron" around my waist. I was getting weird skin infections under the flap of skin due to "hanging" nature of the skin and wanted to have it removed. My insurance considered it to be "cosmetic" while my doctor considered it to be "reconstructive". Long story short, I ended up getting some financing and paying for the surgery myself. It was not cheap, but it was doable. I think I paid about $140 per month for about 6 years. I was really glad that I did that. I do worry about what will happen if I really do manage to lose the 90 or so pounds that I still have to lose. The doctor claims that I could still have that same surgery again and that it is not a problem to do the procedure more than once over a life time. We'll see how that all goes..... :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
