I'm in the same boat as you. 41lbs down and only lost one since the first of the year. But the good news is I am shrinking. I cleaned out mu closet today, and fit into a whole size smaller in pants. I try to remind myself that this is not a race, it's the rest of my life. But sometimes I want to throw that scale out the freakin window! I'll keep keeping on until the scale catches up with me.

Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback, just wasnt sure if this was normal or not. I have dropped 4 pants size's total but was really hoping to be a bit smaller by now. Glad to hear Im not alone.

Again thank you

shake up your routine a little. Shock your body! It probably has gotten used to what you've been doing so try something extremely new like liquids (lots!) and increased activity for a few days! All the best...

I know what you mean, I've lost 100 lbs in 7 months and for the past 2 months havent lost. I went back to the Dr and Im doing a strict calorie diet. But before this I did the 5 day pouch test. They say its a plateau, but hope i could break it cause it does get frustrating at times.

I'm feeling much the same way. I lost about 30 lbs and then the weight loss slowed and stopped. I talked to my primary care doctor and she tells me she's known several people who only lost 20-30 lbs. This completely upset me and left me feeling hopeless. I go in for another fill next week and I'm hoping this will get me back on track. I'd like to prove that doctor wrong. I've since changed doctors for many reasons including the way I felt after this discussion.

On a positive note - I'm doing a 5 mile marathon June 2nd to Celebrate my one-year bandiverssary! Wish me luck! :)

How many calories are you eating daily? You may need to either drop or add some calories to shake your body up a bit. Are you weighing your Protein? If not I would start. My doctor says 3 oz. Eat only that 3 oz of Protein and then low fat/cal veggies until full.

Are you exercising? I know it sounds harsh but I do at least an hour a day 7 days a week. You may need to shake up your exercise routine. Do different exercises or mix up your routine so you don't do the same exercise everyday.

To honk- do you count calories? And how many meals do you eat? Is three oz a number we should all follow?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
