Small Non Scale Victory

Recommended Posts

I had an interview yesterday. As a human resources professional it bothers me when the host doesn't ask the interviewee if they prefer to use the elevator or take the stairs. You never know if someone might have joint issues, heart problems, or anything else. We are after all HR and should keep these things in mind. Okay off my soap box. I was impressed that my host asked if I would prefer the elevator to which I said no. As we turn the corner I see that the stairs are actually one long staircase that was about 3 floors high. I was really excited that I could walk up the stairs, carrying my briefcase, and holding a conversation without gasping for breath.

Oh and I got the job! Hurray. I have to go shopping this weekend because some of my pants are really to big.

I just got home from the mall and had to share my nsv. It's taken a great deal of nerve for me to shop in the petite section of our local department store. I keep waiting to get kicked out for obviously shoping in the wrong section!!! lol Well today I bravely went into the more exclusive boutique section to see if I could find a deal. I was looking through some clothes and the saleslady approached me saying I was in the women's sizes and that the clothes I was looking at wouldn't fit me! I was humiliated UNTIL I realized she was telling me that I was looking at the one rack they had of plus size. She actually took me by the arm to show me where their regular size boutique clothes were!!!!! Made my day!

It's great to hear about the non scale wins, I can't wait for these to start for me. I get banded on the 13th march. The one Most want is the seat belt on a plane but hopefully by July I won't need an extention. Keep sharing your stories.

I just got back from my first trip flying. I have never used a seat belt extender. I would just hide the belt under my arms and they would never ask. It was nice to actually pull the seatbelt closer this time! =)

I'm going to Dallas to visit my son next week. It will be soooo nice to not worry about the seatbelt buckling AND actually being able to USE the pull down tray!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
