6 Month Ban-Anniversary Doing Great!

So yesterday was my 6 month ban-anniversary. In six months I have lost 65 pounds and dropped 4 sizes. I am leaving for vacation to Europe in 3 weeks. All of this would not have been possible without my band.

This has not been the easiest journey but I am lucky. Lucky I have had no issues with the band. I work out 4x a week and keep within my calorie limit using my fitness pal.

I am hitting a bit of a wall with the diet I know it will pass. I think I need a fill I haven’t had one since November. I sometimes feel this head hunger is never going to leave me. Head hunger is my biggest struggle. I easily can 4 hours or more between eating and when I starting eating it is like I am starving. I am glad my band lets me know when it is time to stop. I am hoping in the next 6 months I will have this head hunger beat and keep up my weight loss, I am half way to my goal. The band is the best decision I have made ever and I wish I would have done it sooner.

Congratulations! Have a fabulous trip. I know what you mean when you say this wouldn't have been possible before bandland. I am only 6 weeks out but can already get around so much easier. No huffing and puffing. I can walk further and I stood in line for 45 min without my back, feet, hips and knees hurting. We love to travel, where in Europe are you going?

Congratulations on your losses, thats amazing! What a great time to feel better about being in pictures, huh?

Laddie, what did you stand in line so long for?? I dont care how fat I am, sounds boring! Lol. Nsv's of any kind feel good. :)

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful success! Those of us waiting for surgery dates to come feel like your words are just the tonic we need!! I hope you have a GREAT trip!

Mck, I know this sounds bad. We were at a local casino for fiesta night buffet. What I did eat was soooo good. Especially cause my buffet was free. I don't feel guilty about eating so little when it is free. LOL!

Congrats! We go to the same doctor in Austin and were banded in the same month. I am glad you are doing so well. I am going alot slower - 23lbs only and that was from pre op and post op. I will admit I am definatley struggling with head hunger. Have a great trip!

congrats. I am 6 mts out also. I have lost 43 lbs I too think it is the best decission I have ever made. Good luck with your journey.
