Having To Start A New Beginning

Recommended Posts

I have no idea how long you have been banded but it is definitely a life long battle. Having a band doesn't mean that we can surrender and wave the white flag , it just gives us the tools to keep fighting.

I was in the same situation that you were, and this year I finally "woke up" and got with the program, I've been excercising and eating right, so far I only have 1.75 cc in a 4 cc band, but I'm going today to the mds for a fill.

Good luck with everything we can all do this together!

Same thing here ! I almost regained it all, and started on track last January, but didn't get a fill till March....

I monitor my intake on myfitnesspal.com, and have 2.0 cc's "as of Thursday" in a 4 cc band.

I'm glad I started over.

Welcome back...

Ok, because I don't want to gain any of this back, let us learn from your mistakes. What was it that you did differently from when you first got the band that made you gain back the weight? I haven't had a hard time adjusting to the food because I still eat pretty much the same Breakfast, lunch and dinners I had before except minus the breads, just smaller portions. Plus my meal is more Protein than carbs and before it was the opposite.

My downfall was all the snacking I did. From eating chips and sweets before it was dinner time, or lunch for that matter! But if I ate like that now, my pouch would get stuffed and then lunch or dinner would definitely get stuck. Believe me, I have learned from my mistakes. But in the beginning I was a slow learner!

Thanks for sharing, and good luck. You did it once, you WILL lose it again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
