Eating salad??

Recommended Posts

Pat, that is a good thing!! LOL

So those who can eat salads, esp those of you that say "big" salads...how big is big? I know leafy greens look big in the bowl, but when chewed they are reduced to very little. What is the average salad size?

And heather...Why can't you eat tomatoes? Is it the acid? Do they get stuck or what? It would suck to give up my tomatoes.

Hi all,i have just had a 4.5ml fill but have not tried salads yet, but before i finely shred the lettuce and chop the cucumber and tomatoes chop into small pieces and grate cheese carrots etc all in a bowl before i put it on my plate then i dont have to waste time or forget to eat smaller pieces as it is already done,

I have not been banded yet, but wanted to say that I have been reading books about nutrition. If you are going to eat salads, try to stick to spinach, Romaine, and baby greens. Iceberg has almost no nutritional value.

I second you on this.

The greenier the leaf - the better it is for our body(more vit's).

Iceberg is -also- very hard to digest.

At first I had trouble with salads also. I was full very very fast. But now I'm able to eat more of it and I don't get sick from it. And I like to add lots of cheese and meat to them.

Ok can I say PAINFUL omg I tried to eat a salad last week and I was in pain for what seemed like an eternity. I have only been banded for 2 months so maybe I'll try to eat a salad in a year or so.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
