I think you might need to call your Dr. I didn't have ANYTHING like that and I didn't take the pain meds - I took 2 pills the 1st day, 1 pill the 2nd day and nothing after that.

Just to make sure, please call the Dr. I hope its nothing - maybe you just needs your meds adjusted.

Good luck and please let us know you're ok!

Im glad your going to see him, I was banded on 12/21 and my pain was minimal as well as the gass. They gave me morphine for a day and a half and then just tylenol. Good luck.

Everyone reacts differently, but I am glad to see you are going in. Keep your pain meds going. Take them as often as prescribed. If they say every 4-6 hours as needed, then take them every 4 hours. Don't let it get ahead of you.

I hope you feel better soon!

I admit i felt pretty crappy the first few days but I just stayed in bed and rested. after that... by day three/ I was good to go.. I think the lack of carbs affect our energy in that first week causing us to feel like that.. Today is day 9 for me. banded 12/20/

I was banded on 12/27. I have awful pain in the muscle where my port is. I can't lay down, haven't slept, can't hardly walk. Has anyone experienced this? When does it go away?

I had an experience like yours....for me this procedure was much worse that both my c-sections...and I had complications with both of them. I couldn't believe the pain I was in and the pains meds did little to nothing to make it better. I would say it took me all of 2-3 weeks to be relatively pain free, including my port site....I feel like I never had anything done.

They finally let me go home today. I'm still struggling with keeping broth down. But it's staying down now, just super uncomfortable. The pain pills are hard to keep down. Wish I could have just had iv meds sent home lol

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
