Anyone From Massachusetts Use Bcbs For Lap Band Surgery ?

I keep having questions about BCBS of Massachusetts, or if people are having the surgery done where I am, but I never see anything. Anyone from MA? Anyone? blush5.gif

Amanda:

I'm from MA. I had my surgery at Norwood Hospital with Dr. Adam Glasgow.

I had BCBS with my first band and Harvard Pilgrim with my revision. Insurances vary by plans instituted at your company. The best thing to do for insurance questions is to call the 800 number on the back of your card.

Good luck!

Sue

From MA as well. Also a patient of the amazing Dr. Adam Glasgow!

I am- I live in Boston! I'm having my surgery at Beth Israel in Boston, and I have BCBS MA. Feel free to ask any questions! 001_smile.gif

I am also from Boston and having it done at Beth Isreal. *** Blue NE said they would cover it. I have not set my surgery date yet...

I am having surgery at Lahey Clinic. So did you have a hard time getting approved?

No, I was approved within days of the center submitting it for approval.
