  1.    skin-e-girl reacted to a post in a topic: Banded 2/21/11
  2. Hey Skin-E! I was banded Feb 6th. I was overnight in the hospital and took the week off from work. The first day home was tough. I too am a side sleeper and must have rolled over during sleep and was in real pain the next morning, but a day or two later i was driving the kids to school and washing dishes and stuff, so the pain goes away quickly. Hopefully you have some Roxicet or some other oral pain killer to lean on. I have my 2 week post-op check-up tomorrow. I am down almost 30 pounds between the pre-op diet and the post op liquid diet. I am hoping to be cleared to work-out soon. Hang in there!
  3. I am also from Boston and having it done at Beth Isreal. *** Blue NE said they would cover it. I have not set my surgery date yet...
  4. Thanks for the input guys. That is obviously not what i was hoping to hear but it is helpful to be able to manage my expectations as far as what i will be able to do post op.
  5. I am Pre-Op but am wondering how much physical contact the Port area can take after recovery. I do mixed martial arts training for exersize and while it is not full-on combat, I do have to get pretty physical and could take some shots to the port area...does anyone have any thoughts on this?
