Amazing Clear Drink Recipe For 1st Week Post-op

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Any newbies worried about getting enough Protein that first week on clears? I was, until I made up this delicious "cocktail" that satisfied quotas for Water, protein, flavor, and settled my sensitive tummy all at the same time! Here's the recipe below. You can sip this all day long and not have to worry about meeting your daily protein needs.

You will need:

1 bottle Isopure whey Protein Drink, new Green Tea flavor

1 bottle Glaceu Vitamin Water Lemonade flavor, reg or diet.

Mint leaves (aka "yerba buena")

Lemon slices

Plenty of ice cubes

1. Tear several mint leaves at bottom of a tall glass, Mojito-style. (DON'T crush, or you might drink them)

2. Fill glass with ice cubes. Pour equal parts Isopure Green Tea & Vitamin Water Lemonade.

3. Garnish with lemon slices. (Or skip if the acid bothers you)

Try making a pitcher to sip and enjoy all thru the day and know you are getting enough protein. The mint leaves are gentle on your stomach, ease gas and have all sorts of healing properties. Just ask any grandma who has some growing wild in her backyard, like mine did. The mint does add an amazing flavor as well. Be careful not to accidentally swallow the actual leaves. I thought to add some real green tea, but was told to stay away from caffeine.

Anyone else have a similar creation to help others get thru that first week post-op?

Not a bad combination. I've been drinking the Isopure Zero Carb RTD bottles, 40 grams of Protein per 20 oz. And it's a clear so you don't need to worry about watering it down or anything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
