Why can't we eat after fills?

I got my first fill today. Apparently I had 4 cc when I had my surgery, now I'm up to 5. I was told protein shakes today & tomorrow then mushy foods. Why can't we eat after a fill?

    The fill can irritate your stomach so you need to let things heal and settle down again Mostly precautionary but a day or two of liquids and mushy foods can also stimulate weight loss so just enjoy the benefits.

    Why cant we eat after surgery? Same concept. Your stomach gets swollen after a fill.
